Getting Started

To get started simply call or email Debbie arrange an evaluation. If you are uncertain if speech and language therapy is needed please feel free to call us and we can guide you.

Because we provide all therapy in the home or community, availability for evaluations and therapy is based on where therapy will be held and time/day preferences. After making an appointment you will receive an email with the necessary forms to review and complete.

What to expect in the evaluation?

This depends on the type of evaluation you are looking for but you can expect that the therapist will spend the first 20-30 minutes gathering background history and getting to know you or your child. After which the therapist will begin a formal and/or informal assessment depending on the needs. Following the evaluation you will receive a detailed report within 2 weeks. (Please note that Assistive Technology reports and evaluations may required more visits and time to complete the report.) The entire session should last 1-2 hours.

What's next?

Depending on needs therapy will be given 1-3 times per week. This can occur in the home, private school/preschool, or approved other community location. Therapy sessions last 30-60 minutes depending on the type of therapy performed.

Payment

Eat, Speak, Play! is in network with Tricare. For all other insurances we can provide you with a receipt after payment that you can use to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. If you would like to use Tricare, we ask that you manage obtaining a referral from the doctor and assist us with authorizations and renewals.
